Bernard Tomic: Australia's New Young Hope For the Men's Game!
I know it's tough to perform before your home crowd, that's why it's rare for us to see someone become the champion of his or her home Slam. However, I can see that Bernard Tomic of Australia, does not seem to have that fear! In the first round, he defeated Jeremy Chardy of France, ranked #44, 63 62 76(5). Then, Feliciano Lopez of Spain, ranked #31, was his next victim today, 76(4) 76(3) 63, which then leads him to probably his most Mt. Everest-type of match-up in the third round! He'll meet current world #1 and many-times Grand Slam champion, Rafael Nadal! How's that for a challenge? Will Tomic rise up or will Nadal just smother him? One thing's for sure, Tomic is a bright star we are excited to see rise in 2011!
