Bernard Tomic of Australia: Player Ranked Outside the Top 100 Who Gets Into the 2d Rd of the Australian Open 2011
Bernard Tomic of Australia, ranked #199, was invited into the main draw of this year's Australian Open, and uses this opportunity very wisely, upsetting much higher ranked Frenchman, Jeremy Chardy, 63 62 76(5). This is the first time Bernard gets into the second round of a Grand Slam. He will next meet Feliciano Lopez. If he continues to go deeper into the tournament, he may well next be Australia's next tennis superstar!
