Jo-Wilfried Tsonga - Semifinalist: Qatar Open 2011
Jo-Wilfried Tsonga reaches the semifinals of his first tournament of 2011, losing to world #2 Roger Federer. This was Tsonga's path to the semifinals -
SF - loses to Roger Federer (SUI) (#2) 63 76(2)
QF - Guillermo Garcia-Lopez (ESP) (#33) 76(4) 76(9)
2R - Sergei Bubka (UKR) (#321) 62 64
1R - Ruben Ramirez Hidalgo (ESP) (#77) 62 60
Except for Federer, all of his opponents are ranked much lower than him, so we are still not sure how tuned up Tsonga is for the Australian Open. He did push Federer to a second set tie breaker, so I guess he's ready!
