Li Na - Champion: Sydney Medibank International 2011
Li Na starts the 2011 season with a big bang, by being the first Chinese player to win a title at the Premier level! She had to defeat Kim Clijsters to be able to do just that! She was almost eliminated in the quarterfinals, but dug deep to get a win over Kuznetsova. Happened again today where she was 5-0 down against Clijsters in the first set. Never turned back after that score and went on to win the trophy! This was her path to the championship -
