Who Is Anastasija Sevastova? She Just Reached the Round of 16 in the Australian Open 2011
Among the eight women who entered the round of 16 today, it's only Anastasija Sevastova of Latvia whom I don't know very much. It's a bit weird that she has been under my radar, considering that she is already ranked #46, and still, I don't know much about her, or even seen her play! In the first round, she edged Polona Hercog 64 76(5) and then upset Yanina Wickmayer 64 62 in the second round. In the third round, she topped qualifier Vesna Manasieva 61 63. She has now reached her first fourth round appearance in any of the Grand Slams.
