Andrea Petkovic - Quarterfinalist - Australian Open 2011
I've always known that one of these days, Andrea Petkovic would get to her first quarterfinals in a Slam, but I was really surprised that she did it this early in 2011! Not that it's a bad thing! It just means she really prepared during her off months so that she has immediately reaped the benefits of those!
I have posted above the victory dance that she usually does when she wins a round here in Melbourne. Below is her path to the quarterfinals -
QF - lost to Li Na (CHN) (#11) 26 46
4R - Maria Sharapova (RUS) (#16) 62 63
3R - Venus Williams (USA) (#5) 10 Ret.
2R - Anne Keothavong (GBR)(#118) 26 75 60
1R - Jill Craybas (USA) (#101) 61 62
