Agnieszka Radwanska will meet 92-ranked Nina Bratchikova in the first round of the 2012 US Open. They have never met before. Bratchikova reached the quarterfinal in Baku where she won over Estrella Cabeza Candela and Patricia Mayr-Achleitner, both players ranked outside the top 100.
Radwanska is also in an easy part of the draw. Her toughest opponents in her side of the draw could be Jelena Jankovic and Yaroslava Shvedova. She should be able to win her matches against those two.
She will also most likely meet Angelique Kerber in the quarterfinals.
Kerber's toughest opponent before meeting Radwanska could be Venus Williams in the second round. She should be able to take care of Venus, although I'm sure it's going to be a tight three set match. Kerber could also meet Tamira Paszek and Christina McHale, in matches where she should prevail as well.
In this part of the draw, I choose Angelique Kerber to reach the semifinal slot.
