This is the first time I've encountered David Guez from France. He is already a veteran at 33 years old. He did play well today, but he still lost to Go Soeda of Japan 36 63 46.
He is currently ranked #175 and he reached as high as #116. He was actually among those wanting to qualify for the main draw of the Australian Open, but he lost to compatriot Vincent Millot (#184) in the second round.
