Aliaksandra Sasnovich of Belarus (#105) has been to the second round of a grand slam for the third time, the first two, being in the US Open and at Wimbledon.
This is her first time to do it though in the Australian Open. She defeated Russian Evgeniya Rodina (#91) 63 76(2).
She will next face another Russian in Maria Sharapova (#5).
