I am actually quite surprised that even though he did not win any of the slams last year, Andy Murray was the one really taking the game to the in-form Novak Djokovic. The question now is can he take it one step higher and claim one of the slams when Novak is playing at such a high and consistent level.
First, though, these are the players he will most likely meet in the earlier rounds - Adrian Mannarino, Mikhail Kukushkin and home favorite Bernard Tomic. Then he may have to deal with the tricky David Ferrer in the QFs. Then possibly Nadal in the semi's and then Novak in the finals, if based on the current head-to-head.
It's also been awhile since Murray has lifted a grand slam trophy so I'm sure, like the rest of the top 4 (Roger and Rafa), he's rarin' to at least get one of them this year.
