Bradley Kahn: Player Ranked Outside the Top 100 Who Has Reached the Second Round of the US Open 2012

Bradley Klahn, ranked #489 in the world, secured a spot in the second round of the US Open 2012, after he defeated former top 10 player Jurgen Melzer of Austria, ranked #36 in the world.  He was dismissed though by Richard Gasquet in their second round match today, Gasquet ranked #14 in the world.
