After an earlier squabble with the USTA this year, it's a good thing that Donald Young (#55) has finally focused on his game. It's a big surprise to everyone that he reached the finals of the Bangkok Open. He lost though to Andy Murray (#4) 26 06 in the finals.
However, he put a courageous display in defeating crowd favorite, Gael Monfils (#9) in the semifinals 46 76(5) 76(5). In the quarters, he crushed Japanese Go Soeda (#126) 61 62.
