The Rejuvenation of American Men's Tennis
John Isner (#18) (in photo above) is just one of the nine Americans in the Top 100 of men's tennis, but he's part of the new blood that is slowly taking over the mantle of veterans Andy Roddick (#14) and James Blake (#74) and Michael Russell (#99). Another veteran, Mardy Fish (#8) is the American #1 right now, and he has finally shown how good he is as a tennis player.
Slowly coming up the ranks are Alex Bogomolov Jr. at #40, Donald Young at #55, Ryan Sweeting at #65 and Ryan Harrison at #82. So all's well for American tennis and I'm sure one of these guys should slowly break into the top echelons of men's tennis soon.
