It was a bit painful to watch Andy Roddick lose to Nicolas Mahut today. I know this is clay and it may not be Andy's favorite surface, but it is still sad to see one of my idols falter and look out of sorts against a player who I think Andy should've handled easily during his heyday. Nicolas Mahut is more well-known as the French marathon man after playing in Wimbledon for a record 11 hours plus against John Isner! Mahut took advantage today of Andy's second services and listless playing. He won 3 sets out of 4.
