Featured Player Quebec Open: Tamira Paszek
Austria's #1 player, Tamira Paszek (#40) has been drifting from hot to cold lately, but covers ground again in the Quebec Open, where she reaches the semi's, losing to Marina Erakovic (#85) of New Zealand, 62 57 46.
In the quarters, she edged British player, Heather Watson (#99) 64 76(5). In the second round, she defeated American Varvara Lepchenko (#108) 67(2) 63 76(4). In the first round, she defeated another American Ashley Weinhold (#190) 60 46 62.
