The Final Eight for the Yearend 2011 Championships is Shaping Up
After the dust has settled in Flushing Meadows, the last major tournament of the year where the players can harvest the most points, the Top 8 is slowly taking shape. The most likely groupings would be -
Group A
Caroline Wozniacki
Victoria Azarenka
Li Na
Francesca Schiavone
Group B
Maria Sharapova
Vera Zvonareva
Petra Kvitova
Samantha Stosur
Hovering outside are Marion Bartoli, Andrea Petkovic, Jelena Jankovic and Serena Williams. I omitted Kim Clijsters since it's unlikely she'll be playing in Doha because of her injury.
