Featured Player Hansol Korea Open: Polona Hercog
Polona Hercog (#35) of Slovenia is one of the most improved players this year, and this time, she reached the semifinals of the Hansol Korea Open in Seoul. She lost to Galina Voskoboeva (#82) of Kazakhstan 16 46.
In the quarters, she defeated Dominika Cibulkova (#22) 63 61. In the second round, she routed Carla Suarez Navarro of Spain 63 75. In the first round, she defeated Zuzana Kucova (#131) of Slovakia 60 62.
