Defending champion Petra Kvitova faces a tough road to defending her title but knowing her resilience, I'm sure she has all the weapons and the mental mindset to go all the way and defend her title. I mean, gosh, she even reached the semifinals of Roland Garros where she was not even in my top four list, she could definitely do better here, fully knowing she already has the credentials to get a second trophy!
Her prospective opponents though could include Elena Baltacha, Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova, Dominika Cibulkova and Serena Williams. Yup, Serena baby!! But that will most likely be in the quarters - which in a way, could be a finals match!
It definitely will be battle royale if the two meet but this time, I pick Petra to triumph - by a very very slim margin!
