Kristyna Pliskova: Player Ranked Outside the Top 100 Who Reached the Second Round of Wimbledon 2012

The Czech Republic introduces another one of their upcoming players in Kristyna Pliskova, ranked #148 in the world, and she defeats Polona Hercog of Slovenia, ranked #46, 62 62 in the first round of Wimbledon.  She will next face Francesca Schiavone (ranked #26) in the second round.
