Federer loves 'clean' matches during Grand Slams since it allows him to conserve his energy for the next few matches. He did just that in his first round match in Wimbledon today against unheralded Spanish player Albert Ramos. He only gave Ramos three games in three sets. He just displayed his brand of sublime tennis that earned him all those Grand Slam titles.
