Checking Nadal's Draw in Wimbledon 2012

Ok, so I pick Rafael Nadal as the most likely person to win this year's Wimbledon crown.  He isn't the defending champion, but seeing how he won the French Open just about three weeks ago, you could really see how high his level of tennis is right now.  I know that the surface has changed to grass, but Rafa has proven before that he can change his game from clay to grass by winning both Roland Garros and SW19 in the same year, a few years back.

He probably has the toughest opponent outside of the Top 4 to deal with.  If everything goes into plan in the draw, Nadal will most likely meet Frenchman Jo-Wilfried Tsonga in the quarters.  Other potential difficult opponents are Dolgopolov of Ukraine and veteran Tommy Haas of Germany.  Even his first round match is difficult - Thomaz Bellucci of Brazil who was a former Top 25 player!

So, the path to the SW19 championship this year is a bit tough for Rafa, but I'm sure he's ready for it.  He will most likely meet Andy Murray in the semifinals and should be able to handle Murray easily, unless of course the local crowd rally for their local hero.  But Murray's mental strength is suspect right now and the local press can also be very demanding.

Let's see how Nadal powers through yet another Grand Slam title!
