Maria Sharapova had the perfect first round match today. It allowed her to feel her way round the grass and just gave her enough opposition through Anastasia Rodionova. Unfortunately, the Russian-born Australian had no weapons to trouble Maria so her brief opposition towards the end of the first set was just extinguished game after game, with Maria allowing only two games to the Australian in the first set and three games in the second set.
