American Ryan Sweeting, ranked #130 in the world, wins his first round match in Wimbledon 2012 62 20 with the retirement of his opponent, Italian Potito Starace, currently ranked #97 in the world. Ryan reached as high as #64 last year, but has to climb up back to the top 100 this year. His second round appearance here might just help, but it does equal his second round appearance also here, last year. He will next face Serbian Janko Tipsarevic, currently ranked #8 in the world.
