Fearless Forecast Australian Open 2012: Bottom Lower Draw
Rafael Nadal (ESP) (#2) should be able to top this side of the men's draw and reach another Australian Open semi-finals. His most likely quarterfinal opponent is Tomas Berdych (CZE) (#7). Nadal's most likely opponents include German veteran Tommy Haas, up-and-coming American player Donald Young (#40), and the tall marathon man John Isner (#17).
As for Berdych, his most likely opponents include South African Kevin Anderson (#32) and the Swiss Stanislas Wawrinka (#23).
Nadal should reach the semi's and his most likely opponent is Roger Federer. If he gets through that, he will either have to deal with Novak or Andy.
To see how far Nadal goes into the tournament, we'll just have to see how the next two weeks unfold in the Australian Open, which starts tomorrow!
