Rafael Nadal came into 2011 injured and just reached the quarterfinals in Melbourne before undergoing a lengthy injury break. He came back roaring in the clay court season, winning titles in Monte Carlo and Barcelona. He then proceeded to win Roland Garros. He lost both the Wimbledon and US Open finals. He qualified for the ATP World Tour final but lost 2 of his three matches, and was subsequently disqualified.
It would be interesting to see how Rafa starts off 2012 and if he can be injury free. We hope he is since the tour wouldn't be quite the same with him injured.
