The US Open 2011 might be the perfect stage for German Andrea Petkovic to make herself known to the outside world. There are actually two higher ranked players in her side of the draw (Caroline Wozniacki and Li Na) but Wozniacki's Grand Slam record is appalling and Li Na has not really been playing really well during this hard court season. My pick for Petkovic's quarterfinal opponent is Daniela Hantuchova, who was also playing well this hard court season.
