Brazil has two players in the Top 100 right now, Ricardo Mello (#89) and Thomaz Bellucci (#36). In Kitzbuhel, Brazil's #3 player, Joao Sousa, made a splash by reaching the semifinals. He's currently ranked at #110. He lost to eventual champion Robin Haase. He might reach the Top 100 in the next few weeks, if he continues his form.
In the quarters, he upset #46 Pablo Andujar of Spain 63 64. In the second round, he won over Argentinian Diego Junqueira (#97) 62 62. In the first round, he won over Polish Jerzy Janowicz (#142) 63 46 76(3), which ironically was his tightest match.
