Flavio Cipolla of Italy, currently ranked #108, is one of the first qualifiers into the second round of the 2011 US Open. Cipolla is sort of a journeyman in the tour and at the age of 27, he has yet to win a title in the ATP Tour. He has reached as high as #99 in 2009. This year, he qualified for both the Australian Open and Wimbledon, but promptly lost in the first round. His victory over Kei Nishikori (#46) is his best performance yet this year. He will have a tough second round as his next opponent is Ukrainian Alexandr Dolgopolov (#23), another tough customer.
