Radek Stepanek: The Veteran, A Finalist in Legg Mason
The veteran Radek Stepanek (#54) still has something left in him to fight the top guys as he reaches the finals of Legg Mason. He will meet the resurgent Gael Monfils (#7) in the finals.
Radek easily dispatched Spaniard Fernando Verdasco (#19) in the quarters, 64 64. In the third round, he edged Finn Jarkko Nieminen (#51) 64 36 62. In the second round, he only gave two games to American Wayne Odesnik (#161). In the first round, he was taken to three sets by German Philipp Petzschner ( 67(2) 64 60 (#43)
