First is Mikhail Youzhny, who moves from #9 to #8, which boosts his chances to join the year-end championships in London.
Reentering the Top 100 is Igor Andreev of Russia, who is the biggest mover this week, zooming 17 places from #102 to #85. This was due to his semi-final appearance in Kuala Lumpur, where he was eventually defeated by the champion, Mikhail Youzhny. Enroute to his SF appearance, Igor, had to defeat Nikolay Davydenko of Russia, a Top 10 player, Milos Raonic of Canada and Go Saeda of Japan.
The champion in Bangkok, Guillermo Garcia-Lopez, moves up 14 places, from #53 to #39, and cops a victory over a current #1 player, Rafael Nadal.
Andrey Golubev of Kazakhstan the runner-up in Kuala Lumpur, moves from #41 to #33 this week. Golubev also had impressive wins over David Ferrer of Spain, Robin Soderling of Sweden, a Top 5 player, Kevin Anderson of South Africa and Yen-Hsun Lu of Chinese Taipei.
Finally, Fabio Fognini of Italy moves from #71 to #65. This may be due to an ITF title since he did not participate in both KL and Bangkok.
