Anastasija Sevastova of Latvia reached the quarterfinals of the Beijing Open last week, defeating on the way, Nadia Petrova (#17), Dominika Cibulkova (#33) and Samantha Stosur (#8) (AUS). Quite impressive, considering that she's just ranked #55 right now. If she continues this strong play, she should be able to reach the Top 40 in time for the Aussie Open next year.
