Mikhail Youzhny wins his 7th ATP tour title this week at the Kuala Lumpur Open. This boosts his chances to join the year-end championships in London as it pushes him to #8 in the Rankings. This was Mikhail's path to the champion's trophy -

It was not an easy title for Mikhail, as all of his competitors pushed him to his limits - all his contests were three-setters! So sometimes, the rank is not really a definite picture of the abilities of the player. And he was pushed even in the final, as the score indicated a tiebreak just to determine the champion!
