Wimbledon Day 1: Five Matches I'm Looking Forward to - Schiavone vs. Dokic
This is probably, for me, the most interesting match for Day 1 in Wimbledon. I love both players and it's just tough when two of your favorites have to slug it out in the first round! Schiavone is still on a high, after playing in the finals of Roland Garros a few weeks back. Dokic, on the other hand, was in the finals of 'S-Hertogenbosch where she lost a very close final to Roberta Vinci. I just hope she has recovered physically, just in time for her first round match. Schiavone did play in Eastbourne but lost to Agnieszka Radwanska in the second round.
I'm going for Schiavone in three sets.
