Roberta Vinci Snags Second Title of the Year in 'S-Hertogenbosch
Roberta Vinci is one of my favorite players in the WTA Tour because of her serve and volley game, and she used it well when she won her second title of the year here in the grass of 'S-Hertogenbosch. She prevailed over another veteran of the tour, Jelena Dokic, also looking for title #2 this year. It was a very close match and it could've gone either way. The scoreline - 67(7) 63 75.
She will meet Vera Dushevina of Russia in the first round of Wimbledon and Dushevina is no pushover either, ranked #48 in the world right now. I hope Roberta is not too tired for a slugfest, otherwise, Vera could prevail.
