Featured ATP Player: Simone Vagnozzi Surprise 3rd Rd Appearance in Barcelona
Simone Vagnozzi was not expected to reach the 3rd round of the Barcelona Open mainly because he's currently ranked #186 in the world. But he has already defeated two players ranked much higher than him, compatriot Fabio Fognini (#49) in the first round and a seeded player, Juan Monaco (#37) in the second round.
Ironically, his opponent in the third round, is ranked lower than his first two opponents but Juan Carlos Ferrero (currently ranked #77) is a Grand Slam champion, and that idea alone might overwhelm Vagnozzi. So let's see if he can just concentrate on his game and get to his first ATP quarterfinal!
