ATP Rankings Watch: Kei Nishikori Reaches Top 50
Kei Nishikori, Japan's tennis prince, reaches the Top 50 (#48), his highest rank ever in his young career in the ATP Tour. This was due to his reaching the finals of Houston. It's such a surprise that he reached a final of a clay court tournament.
Ryan Sweeting is another player who reaches a career high (#67) this week, after winning Houston - also a clay court tournament. It's a win that's a surprise since he wasn't really expected to perform well on clay.
Pablo Andujar of Spain is another player who reaches a career high (#52) this week, after winning Casablanca. Another player that makes the Spanish bench a really deep one.
Finally, Julian Reister of Germany, enters the Top 100, at #100, for the first time in his career. This is due to his ITF win in Monza, Italy.
