Grigor Dimitrov is already #3 in the world and is now figuring in the short lists of most pundits to win a grand slam title - and what the guy actually needs is a grand slam title itself to further cement his stature in the game.
He has always been one of my favorite players and having the chance to talk to him was probably one of the highlights of my life. And many of his fans are just waiting for that moment when he finally gets that elusive grand slam title. Will he get it here in Melbourne? Rafa Nadal may stand in his way in the semifinal and Roger Federer in the final. Just having to defeat both in a grand slam is a very daunting task.
In the lower rounds, he has to deal with local favourite Nick Kyrgios first before he gets to the quarters, where young British player, Kyle Edmund may be his likely opponent.
For now, we're just keeping our fingers crossed that he goes to each of his remaining round matches with that winning warrior mentality.
