King of Clay 2012

With twelve clay court tournaments under wraps in 2012, the latest being the Madrid Open, here are the Top 10 ATP players of clay, as of today, along with their points.  I formulated the point system on my own, by using the prize money as basis, meaning, the tournaments with higher monetary prizes have more prize points compared to those with less.

The final points will come from the tournament just before Roland Garros.

1.  Rafael Nadal (ESP) -948.59
2.  Roger Federer (SUI) 736.64
3.  Tomas Berdych (CZE) - 496.68
4.  David Ferrer (ESP) -433.14
5.  Novak Djokovic (SRB) -348.80
6..  Fernando Verdasco (ESP) -274.21
7.  Janko Tipsarevic (SRB) - 264.89
8.  Juan Martin del Potro (ARG) - 225.76
9.  Gilles Simon (FRA) - 224.10
10.  Nicolas Almagro (ESP) - 171.40
