Andy Murray Makes Men's Tennis More Exciting to Watch

With his potential fulfilled, Andy Murray's entry into the list of Grand Slam champions by winning the US Open 2012, makes today's men's tennis even more exciting to watch.  As I've mentioned in earlier blogs, the men's top four (Federer, Nadal, Djokovic, Murray) has been quite impenetrable these past few years and although the grand slam titles have been won by only three of them, Murray was still included in that elite group because people believed he did possess the capability to win a grand slam.

With his breakthrough in the 2012 London Olympic Games by winning the gold medal, it was but fitting that Murray won the US Open title a few months later.  The guy is obviously in a confidence high.  However, if you watched the final, you can actually feel Andy's self-doubt haunting him - and it was very exasperating to watch - especially from his fans!  We knew he was playing very well, but patches of his self-doubt would creep into his game - so much so that when he was already 2 sets to love in the lead, he allowed Novak to win the next two sets!  That really drove me a little bonkers!!!

Good thing though, that in the fifth set, he regained his composure and built a comfortable lead at 5-2, before proceeding to win that elusive grand slam title!

With his confidence on a high, we hope to see more victories from Murray in the future!
