Andrea Hlavackova Finally Shows She Can Play Singles

I don't know what tournament it was earlier this year, but I saw Czech player Andrea Hlavackova play and she was superb!  Although she looks model thin, she is a very accomplished doubles player - she has a doubles title in Roland Garros - and she can play singles - a fact that I immediately noticed during that tournament whose name I forget now.

Ranked #82 in the world in singles, she still manages to go deep into the US Open draw, and she will be playing three time US Open champion Serena Williams in their fourth round match.

She stunned Maria Kirilenko of Russia (#12) in the third round, and had wins over Kazakh Galina Voskoboeva (#80) and fellow countrywoman Klara Zakopalova (#30) in the first round.
