How Aga Radwanska Can Foil Serena @ARadwanska

All is not lost yet for Agnieszka Radwanska in the finals match later between her and Serena Williams. I'm sure almost everyone will pick Serena mainly because of her impressive winning form here the past decade or so but Aga might spoil her bid by using her own wiles.

#1 Hold her serve.  With Serena's serve being her most potent weapon, it is a must that Agnes hold her serve. It may be difficult to break Serena but it's not impossible.

#2 Start out quickly.  Nothing is more downheartening than to see a three-love score down on the scoreboard in favor of Serena.  It can do tricks to one's mind and will to fight.  So it would be best to start out quickly either to just stay toe-to-toe with Serena or at least give a bit of a cushion.

#3 Use her talent of shotmaking.  Serena's power is undeniable so it's very important that Agnieszka not got toe-to-toe with Serena in terms of baseline rallies.  It would be very hard to break Serena that way.  She has to try her best to interrupt the flow of Serena's game. First thing though, trying to get that first strike on Serena's first serve should be her main goal.  Otherwise, the ball might just go past her most of the time.

#4 Steady the nerves.  First Grand Slam final.  First final in Wimbledon.  Ohhh scary and daunting!  But I don't think she's the first ever person to do that who went on to win the title.  I saw Boris Becker's interview today and at 17, he was able to do it!!! Coming out of nowhere just to do it.  So it's not impossible.  The mind is a powerful machine!

Well, good luck to Aga!  At the very least, she should just make the match competitive.  A lot of players in this fortnight have brought it to Serena (Zheng Jie, Yaroslava Shvedova, Petra Kvitova, Victoria Azarenka), and she, being the last in line, should do no less.
