Maria Sharapova Makes The Semis of Indian Wells

It has been a middling year for Maria Sharapova (#18) this 2011. Her semifinal appearance here has been her best performance yet this year.  She reached the 4th round of the Australian Open and the quarterfinals in Auckland.  She lost to world #1 Caroline Wozniacki here in Indian Wells.  This was her path to the semi's -
