Roger Federer adopted a Serena-esque type of ploy by choosing tournaments which have the biggest points - and he can certainly do that since he doesn't have anything much to prove anymore and would allow him to concentrate his strength and endurance on events which he has proven his mettle beforehand.
So it was no surprise that he skipped the French Open, since that was his weakest surface and decided to concentrate on the grass courts of Halle and here in Wimbledon. He had a successful ninth title win in Halle and he's now on his way to win his eighth Wimbledon title.
Today, he has to deal with one of the Zverev brothers, Mischa in the third round. If he does get through, his potential opponents include Grigor Dimitrov, Mischa's brother, Alexander, Novak Djokovic in the semi's and Rafael Nadal in the final - if everything falls into place.
So let's see how it all unfolds.
