American Jessica Pegula, currently ranked #290 in the world, makes a second round appearance at this year's US Open as she upset Alison Van Uytvanck (#55) 75 63. Alison made the quarters of this year's French Open.
She will next meet Dominika Cibulkova in the second round, who upset Ana Ivanovic. It's going to be a tough match as Dominika is in a roll!
