Stan Wawrinka gave a sensational performance today to win the 2015 French Open title! I knew he was playing really well this tournament but I thought Novak's earlier matches were more clinical and straightforward, and like everyone else, thought that the stars had aligned for Novak to win this, with Nadal out of the way.
Well, with this win, Stan erases all doubts that he is a one slam wonder, and to win it on clay, shows that he can adjust his game to suit any surface.
Interestingly, among the top male players, Stan also has the most interesting lovelife! It's not good etiquette though for bloggers like me to write about it, especially that I'm not a gossip blogger.
Even then, it also shows that when one is in love, being inspired can certainly help one win a slam! And the girl was in his box huh!
