Julian Reister of Germany (#110) reached the second round of Wimbledon for the third time in his career. He was able to achieve it in 2010 and last year.
He was invited into the main draw this year and promptly won his first round match against American veteran, Michael Russell (#94). He lost to Denis Istomin of Uzbekistan (#45) in the second round.
