What I like about Marin Cilic is he does try every slam to pierce through the tough rounds, and like many others, I was amazed at how he just took matters in his hands and win the 2014 US Open.
And I think this year, he has a good chance of getting a second slam title - as it is apparent in the way he plays and his demeanor that he's ready to fight again with the big boys - if the stars do align for him again.
Like the way Rafa did with clay, Roger has already staked his claim to this year's Wimbledon title, and that alone can send doubts to the minds of the other players aiming to win it. Roger has the game and the pedigree to show for it, so other players have to erase any doubt in their minds that they can win it too - because tennis is also a mind game.
And I think Marin has that mental intensity to fight it out at the tough points. Anyway, he has been in the finals here last year - the score says it's a drubbing - so I'm sure he has learned a lot from that experience.
He has a good chance of getting to the semi's - Isner, Pouille, maybe even Wawrinka are some of his strongest possible opponents. From there, he may have to meet Roger in the semi's before dealing with possibly either Rafa or Novak in the finals.
