Radu Albot of Moldova (#110), makes it into the second round of Wimbledon for the first time. He had to qualify to make it into the main draw.
In the first round, he defeats Gastao Elias (#92) of Portugal 36 62 75 64. However, in the second round, he falls to Bernard Tomic (#19) of Australia 67(3) 36 76(6) 36.
