Ryan Sweeting of the USA: Player Ranked Outside the Top 100 Who Gets Into the 2d Rd of the Australian Open 2011

Ryan Sweeting of the USA, ranked #117, had to qualfy to get into the main draw of this year's Australian Open.  He wins his first round match as he upsets Gimeno-Traver of Spain, allowing the latter only nine games!  Impressive!  He next faces world #1 Rafael Nadal.  This is only his second time in the second round of a Grand Slam tournament, with his first being in the US Open 2006.
