Rebecca Marino: Player Ranked Out of the Top 100 Who Gets into the 2nd Rd of the Australian Open 2011

Rebecca Marino of Canada was invited into the main draw without having to qualify and she handily does her job to win a slot in the second round, beating Junri Namigata of Japan 62 46 63.  She will next meet French Open champion Francesca Schiavone.  She also reached the second round of the US Open last year.
